- Traditional method used to train young branches
- Small sturdy plastic clips, (that work in a similar way to splints), that will hold young branches to form a gentle curve
- Once the branch has set to the required curve (usually approximately 6-8 weeks), the training clips can be removed and used again elsewhere
- The No.1 clip is used to train a branch to grow horizontally. It can be positioned anywhere along the branch and can be used in two ways to either achieve a strong or a light bend
- The No.2 clip is ideal for training a young branch to grow horizontally from the trunk. It is clipped onto the main leader and holds the young branch down
